Governance

Speed, Errors, Privacy, Benevolence, Efficiency, Cost, and Equity are all considerations for society for deployment of A.I. in medicine. Narrow A.I. algorithm application is becoming easier, but generalizability, deployment, and equitable distribution remain a challenge.
In the U.S., there are some medical societies such as AMIA, MIS, API, and HIMMS, who are actively engaged in this discussion.
The F.D.A. has issued some suggestions that care must be taken for A.I. deployment.
A more recent development includes government agencies efforts to develop regulatory frameworks.
A lot to think about for society!
